Given you can dilute any flavour with the mashed potato and cheese, I challenge a baby not to be into this. A great first fish fish to try out… good luck!!
Cheesy Fish “Pie”
Makes LOTS

Ingredients
- 3 fillets of white fish – I used whiting
- 5 small potatoes, peeled & chopped
- 1 leek, white bit only, chopped
- Half a broccoli
- Handful of grated cheese
Method
Pop the potato and leek in the steamer and once slightly soft, add the fish and broccoli. Steam until the fish falls apart – just a couple of minutes then transfer to a large jug or bowl. Add the grated cheese then puree using a handheld blender.
If you’re wanting to eat this too, feel free to roast the potato and/or grill the fish fillets separately before pureeing it up for the wee one. Alternatively, actually make a pot pie out of the steamed ingredients by flaking it all up with a fork then covering with puff pastry and baking.
