Babe Food

BABE FOOD: Bircher Muesli

Baby Bircher Breakfast Food

A major winning for our mornings was discovering bircher! Dairy, fruit, carbs = tick. But the major win comes as this is delicious for us in the morning also. Just take out your serve before pulsing it up for the babe and you’re set. It’ll need to set so make this up the day before. Enjoy and hope your babe likes it xx

Bircher Muesli

Makes 2 cups

Baby Bircher Breakfast Food

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 apple, peeled and grated
  • 4tbs natural yoghurt
  • pinch of cinnamon – optional

Method

Combine all the ingredients in a jug then leave in the fridge over night to set. In the morning take out whatever portion ou want for yourself then puree the rest into the consistency your babe likes. That’s it!

Kitchen notes...

You can try switching it up every now and then by adding pear, banana, mango, strawberries or blueberries instead of apple. If you’re not keen on orange juice, water works just as well. The older your babe gets you can try adding soaked seeds and nuts to the mix to increase texture.

Hey there

This is a collection of tastes from my tables abroad… wherever that may be. I spend my days professionally food writing my nights recipe developing flavours from my adventures.

I am at my happiest when sharing food with my favourite people. I care deeply about nourishing our bodies with goodness. I don’t believe in dieting, I don’t believe in fads, I believe in feeding your body simply with home made deliciousness.
