My knowledge of Japanese food and culture came initially from my mild participation in the 10 years I had to study it in school. Then, Japan to me involved saying “Watashi wa Holly Des” and “Hottudoggu des” (which still gets me every time). But beyond the cute fashion, giggling girls and memorising traditions lies my favourite city in Asia. While i’m anti a waiting line or entrance fee, Tokyo is the one exception. This city is intimidatingly cool and actually on second thought, is perhaps my favourite city in the world.
