Asian

asian baked salmon

Living overseas is great, I am not denying that but every now and then it’s the little things that annoy you. Things like, how bad non-Australian glad wrap is, the constant struggle to find gum as good as Extra and when you follow Masterchef on a delayed aired TV channel and Facebook ruins everything and tells you the winner. Just pause for a second and think about just. how. annoying. that. is.

At least one thing went well last night and that was this salmon. Sure, the pictures aren’t the best but seriously, you need to make this. Quick, easy, super healthy and super delicious.

Asian baked salmon
Makes marinade for 4 salmon fillets

Ingredients
Salmon fillet per person
2tbs honey
2tbs dark soy
2tbs mirin
2tbs olive oil
2tbs sesame oil
2tbs finely chopped ginger
2tbs finely chopped garlic (about 4 cloves)

Method
Add all the ingredients aside from the salmon together until combined. Add the salmon and marinade for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 180 and on a lined tray bake the salmon for 10 minutes.

Serve with rice or noodles and green veg!

Hey there

This is a collection of tastes from my tables abroad… wherever that may be. I spend my days professionally food writing my nights recipe developing flavours from my adventures.

I am at my happiest when sharing food with my favourite people. I care deeply about nourishing our bodies with goodness. I don’t believe in dieting, I don’t believe in fads, I believe in feeding your body simply with home made deliciousness.
